Transport Canada's Office of Boating Safety
Free Publications available for your summer programming

With summer right around the corner, Transport Canada's Office of Boating Safety would like to offer members of The Saskatchewan Camping Association some free boating safety information that can be used to enhance their summer programming. The items we have are:

Publications
  - The 2009 Safe Boating Guide
  - The Sea Kayaking Guide (a resource guide for the paddling community)
  - Pukta Children's Activity Booklets
  - Boating Safety 'Cruncher' Games

DVD "Cold Water Boot Camp"
Produced in Canada, this half-hour television special
had nine boot campers experience the various stages of cold water immersion,
from cold water shock to hypothermia. In addition viewers will gain knowledge on
how to prepare for an accidental cold water immersion, self rescue techniques,
dealing with hypothermia and how to warm up a hypothermic victim. It's a great
resource and training tool for camp directors, counselors and older campers.
If you are interested in receiving some of these items or have any questions,
please call or email me.
